64GB iPhone 4 caught on video

64GB iPhone 4

The prototype iPhone 4 that was recently discovered has now been caught on video, and for the first time we get a good look at the device. Just like the previous photographs, it looks pretty much like the regular iPhone 4, except that the volume buttons are missing the plus and minus signs, and the rear camera is missing the silver ring around the lens – just like the iPhone 4 that was found in a bar. The device has the XXGB showing its memory capacity, as well as other XX labels on its back. It looks very much like it could be a real deal prototype that was eventually scrapped. Either way, if they’ve managed to create a 64GB iPhone, it hits that the next version of the iPhone could possibly launch in 64GB variants as well. I guess time will tell. In the meantime, hit the break to check out this “grey market” 64GB iPhone 4 prototype.

Update 9.09 AM: The folks over at engadget managed to run its model number through Apple’s databases and it turns out that the model number is invalid. However the numbers do suggest that it was manufactured in early 2010 so it means there was a point in time where Apple intended to create a 64GB iPhone 4 but scrapped the idea.
