The Tempest Freerunning Academy might be familiar to those who are with the sport of freerunning and parkour – at least in California, since it is the state’s only training facility that was set up solely to grow said sport. Opening its doors over the weekend, you get more than 7,000 square feet of equipment as well as a Mario Bros. tribute, letting you have a semblance of how Mario would feel like in his video game world, although there aren’t any goombas to stomp or Bowsers to defeat. This is one of the cooler transitions made from the video game world into the real one, that’s for sure, and we wonder whether future mods would see other classics such as Tetris, Space Invaders, or even Sonic the Hedgehog.
