OK, so the Nintendo 3DS didn’t really do that well at all when compared to the Sony PSP (in Japan anyways) where sales are concerned, going again to prove that software is where the value is. After all, you can always have the latest and greatest hardware, but that isn’t worth anything if you don’t have the reelvant software to go along with it, right?

I digress – let’s talk about the Nintendo 3DS and its presence in the Land of the Rising Sun. There have been more and more sightings of the Nintendo 3DS Stations throughout Tokyo recently, where this in-store sampling terminal sports a display that shows off advertisements as well as information concerning Nintendo offerings, and for those of you who own a DS, you can always take advantage of the console’s integrated Wi-Fi connectivity to download sample demo games or updated game content – without having to pay a cent, yo! The viewing screen doesn’t seem to be 3D-capable though, so you might want to take note of that. Anyone wants to see this arrive at the US?

Demos can be sent straight over to your console and downloaded via the interface menu. Those are stored within your console, and since it is not on a cartridge, it will all but disappear when you turn the DS off. Gives you more reason to drop by the local Nintendo 3DS Station every day, right? Just don’t let the missus know that there is that cute girl manning the counter who has equal command of your attention…
