Samsung might have their own mobile operating system in the form of bada OS, but that does not mean the company isn’t big on Android phones – no sir, you can tell that Samsung has placed a huge chunk of money investing in the development of high end to mid-range Android-powered smartphones, and this time around we have the latter in the form of the Samsung Admire leaked.

The Samsung Admire is said to hit MetroPCS with Android 2.3 Gingerbread right out of the box, where it is also known by its model name SCH-R720. Touted for a release next month (or perhaps September if things do not go well), the Samsung Admire will feature 3G connectivity, a 3.5″ HVGA display, an 800MHz CPU, TouchWiz UI, a 3.2-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity in addition to GPS support.

Expect to fork out around $149.99 for the smartphone after the relevant rebates with a 2-year contract.
