Heads up iPhone 4S owners, it looks like a jailbreak for your brand new device has been found, about two weeks after the device has gone up on sale in certain parts of the world. This has been confirmed by iClarified with the iPhone Dev-Team posting a video of the jailbreak in action, but before you get too excited, take note that this is only a preliminary jailbreak.

The iPhone Dev-Team has managed to get Cydia up and running on both the iPhone 4S and the iPad 2, but claiming that this is very preliminary and that there is still a lot of work left to be done, which means that for those hoping to jailbreak their new iPhone 4S will have to wait until the iPhone Dev-Team releases it to the public, or until another developer finds a way. For now you can check out the “very preliminary” jailbreak in the video below.
