HP ‘s Beats audio is heavily featured across all its PC lines, and today the computer manufacturer unveiled its new dm4 Beats Edition. Featuring a sleek all-black chassis with subtle touches of “Beats red” here and there, the notebook for audiophile packs good performance for less than $1000.

Powered by the latest Intel Core processors with optional AMD Radeon HD7470M discrete graphic, the HP Pavilion dm4 Beats Edition features a 14-inch HD LED display, HP TrueVision HD Webcam, HP CoolSense and HP SimplePass with fingerprint reader for storing passwords, and a keyboard that is backlit in red. Solo HD Headphones (photo) are available via an optional bundle.

The regular new HP Pavillion dm4 also gets Beats Audio and similar features with a different design, it will be available on December 18  in a brushed aluminum dark umber or steel gray metal finish with optional backlit keyboard (not red).  The HP Pavilion dm4 has a starting price of $699.99.

The HP Pavilion dm4 Beats Edition will be available on December 18 at a starting price of $899.99.
