YouTube user sumthinelse5790 has come up with this extremely impressive robotic hand made out of LEGO bricks and other bits of electronics, where it is capable of showing off the whole range of motion of the human hand. Definitely one of the more amazing pneumatic devices to date. There are enough degrees of movement which you can watch in the video above that might actually make you believe it is an actual human hand. I guess adding some synthetic skin to make it more “human” might even fool some folks. Granted, the movements are far slower than that of the ordinary human hand, but at least the realism level is high enough. I am not quite sure whether it will be able to detect different levels of pressure when holding various items, such as an egg or a glass.
