The Nokia 801 was apparently leaked earlier this month, and it seems that there has been some changes to what we already know. Originally supposed to run on Nokia Belle, the Nokia 801 will apparently be the first handset from Nokia’s stable of smartphones to have the Nokia Carla operating system, which is actually the Symbian version after Nokia Belle. As for the rest of the hardware specifications, everything else is expected to remain the same, so it is only the operating system that sees changes here. Apart from that, it must be noted that Nokia will not be making any announcement concerning the Nokia 801 when Mobile World Congress kicks off in Barcelona next week. It makes perfect sense though, as the Nokia Carla is not yet complete, so it would be foolhardy to make a Nokia 801 announcement right now. It would be interesting to see how Nokia juggles their commitment between Symbian and Windows Phone.
