It is rather hard to believe at just how fast time flies – iconic rock band Queen is already 40 years old, and in order to celebrate four decades of rockin’ music, an all new box set has been released in the form of the Queen Orb Gift Box. What made this particular gift box special is this – you will not find a single CD or DVD inside, but rather, when you remove the golden orb from its velvet black case, a USB flash drive will reveal itself to you, in addition to a gold-plated Queen crest pendant necklace. There sill be 15 re-mastered studio albums in the USB flash drive, stored in the 320kbps MP3 format as well as the 24-bit 44.1kHz WAV format. Definitely not up to par with DVD-Audio standards, but it makes just the cut for audiophiles. There will only be 5,000 of these limited edition gift boxes available, retailing for $350 a pop if you are interested. An oldie, but definitely a goldie.
