Heads up Vita owners, if you’re looking to get your fight action on against AI or against your friends on Mortal Kombat, you wait might soon be coming to an end. According to its publisher, Warner Bros. Interactive, the 1st of May release date for North American markets has been confirmed, while those living in Europe will be seeing the game arrive a few days later on the 4th of May.

A quick refresher for those who might have forgotten about the game or have missed the news: Mortal Kombat for Vita has been created with the gaming console in mind and will be utilizing some of the device’s features, such as touch screen fatalities and will also introduce a new Challenge Tower mode with 150 missions. In the meantime to get an idea of what you might be able to expect from the upcoming game, check out the gameplay footage in the video below.
