D-Link has just announced its latest peripheral – the MovieNite Plus, also known as the DSM-312 if model names are your cup of tea. Just what does the D-Link MovieNite Plus offer? Well, it is capable of delivering additional entertainment options directly to your TV, making sure you get to wind down in the comfort of your own home without having to go through the queues at the cinema. Basically, the MovieNite Plus will allow you to stream a virtually unlimited amount of the latest movies and TV shows, with the option to do so at up to 1080p HD video quality.

Movies are not the only thing you can stream, as the D-Link MovieNite Plus also does music as well – not to mention content from VUDU, Netflix, YouTube, Facebook, and in due time, Hulu Plus. You can also turn your TV into a digital photo album with the MovieNite Plus working in tandem with Picasa, letting you share memories in HD quality. You can place a pre-order for the D-Link MovieNite Plus at $79.99 a pop as it ships in the US from July 2012 onwards. [Press Release]
