Windows Phone 8 is expected to be the next major update to the Windows Phone platform by Microsoft. In fact the existence of the update is not even a secret, but apart from the possible introduction of multicore devices, what else could Windows Phone 8 introduce that will hopefully garner it more fans and become more competitive with iOS and Android?  Unfortunately that remains to be seen, but the good news is that if you’re a Windows Phone fan, you’ll be interested to know that later on today, Microsoft is expected to introduce some of the new features of the next iteration of the Windows Phone platform. The invite pictured above was sent out about a month back and it looks like the details could finally be unveiled today. It will be taking place in San Francisco and is expected to run from 9am to 5pm, so be sure to check back with us then for all the details! So, who else is looking forward to seeing what Windows Phone 8 has to offer?
