If you’re in the market for a new set of speakers for your iOS device, Philips has recently revamped its Fidelio SoundSphere speakers, making them a much more transportable solution while promising that there was no compromise on sound quality. While that remains to be seen, safe to say that for its asking price of £399, we expect that there is a measure of quality that can be expected. It features a USB connector that will allow it to be hooked up to PCs along with a 3.5mm audio jack that should play nicely with other devices like portable media players and non-iOS smartphones/tablets.

The iPod/iPhone dock has also been integrated into the speaker itself, thus adding to its minimalist design and will come with its rather signature looking free-flowing tweeter design that should help with audio projection. If you’re interested in picking one up for yourself, the Philips Fidelio DS6600 SoundSphere speaker is currently available via the UK Apple Store.
