The Sony Xperia tipo offers another affordable way for you jump aboard the smartphone bandwagon if you have yet to make a decision on whether to finally ditch that old school feature phone of yours. First of all, there is the Xperia tipo that comes with a 3.2” scratch-resistant mineral glass display, and at least it runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich right out of the box. There is also a functioning 3.2-megapixel camera, a dedicated set-up guide, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as a 1500mAh battery that is said to be able to last for over 24 hours on a single charge – I will believe it when I see it. You can choose from red, white, blue and black when it hits the market.

Apart from that, there is another version of the Sony Xperia tipo known as the Xperia tipo dual, and basically everything about it remains the same. The only difference can be made out from the name itself – this is a dual SIM handset, where you are able to switch SIM cards with just a single switch for seamless connectivity, making sure you can remain contactable most of the times, signal permitting.

Hopefully more details on the Xperia tipo range will be revealed in due time.
