LG Display is one of the manufacturers for Apple when it comes to displays for their devices, and we have received word that LG Display has begun mass production of an unknown, albeit thinner display, and many people are speculating that this new and thinner display could very well be the same display that sees action in Apple’s upcoming next generation iPhone. Right now, the display’s production schedule is said to remain in line with customers’ product release plans, according to LG’s chief executive. “We just began mass production and we don’t expect any disruption in supplies,” mentioned Han Sang-beom, chief executive of LG Display. Apart from LG Display, Sharp of Japan is also speculated to begin shipping displays meant for the new iPhone sometime from this month onwards.
