In May this year, we saw how the BeoPlay A8 audio system received an update which enabled it to support Apple’s AirPlay capability, and fast forward by a few months, we have arrived at yet another milestone in the BeoPlay A8’s life, which would include compatibility with the new Lightning connector that is found on the new iPhone 5 and iPod nano. Thanks to an exchangeable connector module in the BeoPlay A8, it allows you to completely remove the connector module for a totally clean look if you prefer to stick to wireless audio transmission.

Since you get what you pay for, and considering how you did fork out a handsome sum for the BeoPlay A8 ($1,149 in black or white, to be exact), it would please existing customers of the BeoPlay A8 to be on the receiving end of the new dock connector for free courtesy of the “A8 dock upgrade program.” Needless to say, new customers of the BeoPlay A8 will also be able to enjoy the benefits of this dock upgrade program, where you can register your email here so that you are able to receive additional details when available on the dock upgrade program.
