Nintendo is one company that has more or less perfected the art of rolling out as many colors and designs as possible for a single portable console, and yet are able to continue to maintain a high selling ratio despite flooding the market with what some other companies might deem to be “gimmicks”. Well, it has just been announced in Japan that they will be introducing a spanking new Nintendo 3DS XL (although in the Land of the Rising Sun, that will be known as the Nintendo 3DS LL) this coming April 18th.

Just like all of the other Nintendo 3DS XL consoles, this Mint White version will retail for 18,900 yen a pop, retaining the same design although the green lid (mint here) would complement the overall white case. Not only that, April 18th will also see a special edition bundle arrive that pays homage to the latest Tomodachi Collection life simulation game. When will us folks be able to get the Mint White Nintendo 3DS XL? Time will tell, and you can always import one if patience is not your strong suit. [Press Release]
