htc-one-x-wifiUnfortunately unlike iOS devices where once an update has been made available, all devices receive it, Android users are subject to longer periods of waiting where they will have to either wait for the device manufacturer to release the update, wait for their carrier to release it, or they will have to flash a custom ROM that is built around the update. Either way if you’re a HTC One X owner and if you were wondering if HTC would be leaving you out in the cold after the announcement of the HTC One, fret not because according to a new rumor, the HTC One X could be seeing an update to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Sense 5 sometime around June or early July.

This is via @LlabTooFeR, a source who has in the past been pretty spot on when it comes to HTC rumors. HTC did confirm that the One X would receive Sense 5, although they did not mention if the device would receive the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update as well, but if this rumor is true, then we guess HTC One X users will have a reason to celebrate. In any case June/July is still pretty far off, so we guess we will just have to wait and see if this rumor pans out, but any HTC One X owners out there excited by this news?
