avagoAvago Technologies might not sound too familiar to you, so you might not want to place too much attention on what they have to share, but considering how they are a chipmaker who recently hinted at a “product transition at a large smartphone OEM”, we cannot help but wonder whether the next generation iPhone is already in production. After all, Avago Technologies has a rather bullish outlook for the future, having predicted a sequential revenue increase of 6% to 9% for the current quarter, after basing it on “the initial ramp of a product transition at a large smartphone OEM, a recovery in enterprise networking spending, as well as a continued, gradual uptick in industrial end market demand,” at least according to CEO Hock Tan.

The OEM remains anonymous, but considering how Apple is an existing Avago Technologies customer, this news of a next generation iPhone ramp up would be in line with current rumors that are making their presence felt online. It is widely expected for new iPhone production to kick off sometime next month or in July, which would place the launch date sometime in September.
