wii-u-sales-january-2013The other day we reported that EA’s Star Wars titles would not be making their way onto Nintendo’s Wii U platform, which we guess was kind of a bummer for Wii U gamers, but here’s even more bad news. It seems that if you were looking forward to any of EA’s games on the Wii U, you’re completely out of luck. Yup it seems that the publisher has confirmed to the folks at Kotaku that the company currently has no plans for the Wii U at all. According to EA spokesperson, Jeff Brown, “We have no games in development for the Wii U currently,” which definitely does not sound like good news for Wii U gamers or even Nintendo themselves. We’re not sure why EA has decided to pass on the Wii U, and it would certainly not make them the first (and last) company to do so. However the fact that Brown did state “currently” does leave it open to interpretation that perhaps sometime down the line, EA will eventually return to the Wii U, but for now, you guys are unfortunately out of luck.
