Phablet is a term commonly used for mobile devices that are a cross between a tablet and a smartphone. The display is larger than a conventional smartphone, but smaller than that of a 7 inch tablet. A lot of companies have their phablets out in the market, with Samsung ruling the nice. Rumor has it that HTC is considering joining the fray as well with its own phablet codenamed the T6. Many will think that perhaps number 6 in “T6” corresponds to the screen size, the HTC One had “M7” as the internal codename and it doesn’t have a 7 inch display, so one can’t really place a bet on it.

Not much is known about the HTC T6 right now, save for the fact that it will probably have support from WCDMA(HSPA) and GSM, LTE and CDMA 2000 3G networks. This indicates that the phablet might be released in a variety of different markets, on different carriers. The finer details such as exact display size, internal hardware, operating system and dimensions are not known. The infamous Twitter leak source @evleaks has pointed towards the HTC T6, perhaps we’ll get more information regarding the device through it in the near future.
