sony-xperia-s-android-4.1.2

We reported only a couple of days ago that Sony Xperia S Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update had been delayed. Just last week Sony France had confirmed that the long awaited Jelly Bean update will start rolling out on 24th May, but that day passed and there was no update. Sony Mobile Germany then announced that their French counterparts had mistakenly said that the update was available, while it was not. Good news is that today the Sony Xperia S Android 4.1.2 update is finally rolling out, its starting from France first.

The update carries build number 6.2.B.200 and is rolling out initially for users in France. This time around there are screenshots to prove that the update is indeed out, so its only a matter of time before every Jelly Bean starved Xperia S user gets the update. About time Jelly Bean was rolled out to this smartphone which was released in the start of 2012 and came with Android Gingerbread pre-installed. The Sony Xperia S will automatically notify users when the update becomes available for them, they can then download it over-the-air.
