fable-anniversary-artMicrosoft’s Xbox One is expected to release this holiday season, but that hasn’t stopped video game developers from announcing new games for the Xbox 360 to be released around the same time. Lionhead Studios is one of those developers as they have just announced Fable Anniversary is headed to the Xbox 360 “holiday this year.”

Fable Anniversary will be a re-mastered version of Fable: The Lost Chapters which will feature a complete HD graphical overhaul, improvements to the game’s user interface, loading times, controls and save system. Achievements, leaderboards and even SmartGlass integration are also being promised for Fable Anniversary.

Considering a good majority of Xbox 360 players will be jumping to the Xbox One, we find it interesting Lionhead would announce Fable Anniversary would only be made available on the Xbox 360. The Xbox One won’t be backwards compatible with Xbox 360 titles, which means if Xbox One owners want to play the HD-version of Fable: The Lost Chapters, they’ll have to keep their Xbox 360 connected to their TV for just a little while longer.
