Apple-sign-logo110712125041We know a lot of you guys are waiting to see what Apple has in store for us with their iPhone announcements this year, and according to the sources of AllThingsD, it seems that come 10th September we should be able to get our answers! While the invites have yet to be sent out, their sources have “confirmed” that Apple will be holding an event on that day itself, so if you’re looking forward to the next iPhone, you might want to mark that date down on your calendars.

At this point it seems that all the rumors are pointing towards the possibility that Apple could be unveiling two new iPhones. One of them would be that of the iPhone 5S, the successor of the iPhone 5, and the other would be the iPhone 5C, the rumored low-cost iPhone which has also gone by the “iPhone Lite” moniker in the past. The iPhone 5S, if previous rumors are to be believed, will feature an upgraded processor, a better camera, and possibly fingerprint scanning technology as well. Apart from that it is also expected to resemble the iPhone 5 in terms of design.

The iPhone 5C on the other hand will be a low-cost alternative to the iPhone 5S and based on leaked images, we can expect it to sport a plastic body which we guess helped to cut costs. It is also expected to be similar in terms of its dimensions to the iPhone 5, although slightly thicker due to its plastic body. We are not sure if this event will be purely for the iPhone or if Apple will announce new iPads as well, but we’ll definitely keep our eyes peeled for more info, and hopefully official invites to the event will start making their way out soon!
