nokia-lumia-1020-review-12

A couple of days ago we reported that the Windows Phone GDR2 update was spotted in Nokia’s servers, and while it could be retrieved and flashed manually, what this also implied was that the update could be pushed out soon and sure enough it has! Nokia France has revealed via Twitter that the update is indeed available and is making its way to users in France. For those running unlocked Nokia Lumia devices that are eligible for the update, you should be able to get the update with no issue, although those who are tied to carriers might need to wait for carrier approval and such.

There’s no word when Nokia will begin pushing out the update to those of us stateside or for the rest of the world, but at least it’s good to know that the updates are on its way so it’s only a matter of time before we see them. Any of our Windows Phone readers in the US receive a notification about the GDR2 update yet?
