rogers-storeGiven that Rogers is a Canadian carrier, and with BlackBerry being a Canadian company, you would have expected that both companies would lend their support to one another as fellow countrymen, but unfortunately it does not look like that will be the case. While Rogers has typically stocked up on high-end BlackBerry devices, like they did with the BlackBerry Z10, Q10, and even the low-end Q5, it has been reported that the carrier will not be carrying the company’s latest BlackBerry Z30. It is unclear as to why Rogers will not be stocking up on the Z30, but in a statement released by the carrier, “We believe we can fulfil our customers’ demand for a BlackBerry device with our current lineup”

Could Rogers’ decision be based on how BlackBerry has started down a rather slippery slope that they might have trouble climbing back up? In fact T-Mobile in the US has gone one step further by announcing that they will no longer stock BlackBerry phones in their stores, attributing poor sales as one of the reasons why. We’re not sure if Rogers feels the same way too, but in any case if you were hoping to pick up the handset with Rogers, you will need to look elsewhere.
