T-Mobile today released the much awaited Android 4.3 update for its Galaxy S3 variant, model T999. While Android users are anxiously waiting for Android 4.4 KitKat to drop on their devices, they’ll have to take what they get. Carriers often tend to take a lot of time in testing out an update before it is released. At this point in time, it is not known when Android 4.4 KitKat is going to be released. For T-Mobile subscribers who have the Galaxy S3, the latest update is Android 4.3 and that too for the non-LTE variant. It is expected that Magenta will roll out the update for the LTE model, T999L, in the next few days.

The Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update brings all the features, enhancements and improvements associated with it. It will also add support for the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch as well as the Samsung Knox enterprise security suite. T-Mobile is rolling out the update over-the-air in stages, so it might take a while before the update pops up on your device. It can also be downloaded through Samsung Kies software. The update weighs in at 486MB, so be sure that your device has ample battery and that its connected to a Wi-Fi network before you proceed to download the update.
