Halo_4_review_VoltIf there is one title that gamers are looking forward to this year, it might be the next Halo title from Microsoft. Earlier this year, Microsoft actually reassured gamers that Halo 5 would be on track for a release in 2014, but a later rumor suggested that the game might be pushed to 2015 instead.

Naturally this is not good news for fans of the franchise who might be looking forward to playing the latest title on their brand new Xbox One consoles. However they are only rumors so try not to read into them so much for now. The good news is that as far as Halo-related information is concerned, you can certainly expect to hear some at E3 2014 which will be taking place in the middle of the year.

This is according to a recent tweet by Microsoft’s Phil Spencer who responded to a fan’s question asking him what’s up with the next Halo. According to Spencer, “Halo news will be coming at E3. 343i has a great plan in place, will be cool to share with everyone.”

Unfortunately this does not sound like Microsoft is confirming that Halo 5 will be launched this year, but neither are denying it. Perhaps we might learn more about the Halo 2 Anniversary at E3, or maybe we might learn about Halo 5. Heck, it might even be about both.

Either way it seems like everything appears to be in the air at the moment, so try not to get your hopes up just yet, but at the same time Halo gamers will probably want to mark down the dates of E3 2014 on their calendars to look forward to more Halo-related news. What do you guys think? Will we see Halo 5 this year?
