evernote-android-handwritingEvernote for Android has seen many installs over the years, being one of the more popular apps on the Android platform. Along the way, it has also received its fair share of updates and enhancements to make the note-taking experience a more enjoyable one, including reminders as well as an overhauled user interface to keep up with the times. This time around, Evernote for Android’s latest version appeals to one of the most basic things that we learned when we were young – writing and sketching. Digital handwriting support is now part of Evernote for Android, where you can move from writing to typing in a jiffy, not to mention squeezing in some time to snap a few photos along the way – all within a single note.

For instance, if you happen to be in chemistry class and are required to draw a chemical structure, do just that followed by typing some of the more important elements from the lecture, while ensuring that the entire lecture does not go unrecorded. All of these can be done in a single note, and some of them simultaneously. Other improvements include an enhanced note editor, a faster camera with improved focus and autofocus options, among others. You can download Evernote for Android here. [Press Release]
