zone-2Back in the middle of 2013, LG unveiled the LG Optimus Zone which was an entry-level handset. The design of the phone featured some pretty sharp angles but thanks to a recent leak by the ever-reliable @evleaks, we now know that LG has a new handset in the works called the LG Optimus Zone 2, which presumably is the follow up to last year’s handset.

Based on the leaked image, assuming it’s real, features a more curved design which seems to be in line with LG’s design language as of late. It also sports a Verizon logo on the top left corner of the device, indicating that the phone will most likely arrive on Verizon’s network in the near future.

Unfortunately the specs of the LG Optimus Zone 2 were not revealed, but if the original Optimus Zone is anything to go by, we can expect some pretty entry-level specs and nothing to shout about. However if you’re in the market for a simple and cheap phone, we guess the Optimus Zone 2 should do the trick as it is slated to arrive on Verizon’s prepaid network.

No launch dates have been specified, but hopefully we will learn more about the device and some of its specs soon, so do check back with us at a later date for the details.
