surface2_lteWe did talk about how whispers of the Microsoft Surface 2 with LTE capability being sent to Microsoft Stores yesterday, and here we are with more word on the long awaited LTE enabled tablet. Apparently, it seems that the 64GB model of the Microsoft Surface 2 with LTE will retail for $679 a pop, which is a whole lot more pricey compared to the current Surface 2 that is being sold at $549 each. Would you fork out an additional $130 in order to enjoy LTE connectivity while you are on the move? I would suppose the amount of value that you attach to that $130 depends on what you’re going to do with the Microsoft Surface 2 with LTE tablet, right?

This LTE-enabled tablet from Microsoft will play nice with AT&T’s network, and we wait with bated breath on the specific data plan that will arrive alongside its debut on AT&T. There is of course, the chance that the price of this device will be higher for a model that is sold without a contract. It does seem that the tablet will support 850/900/1800/1900 2G bands, 3G UMTS (bands 1,2, 5) and LTE (bands 4, 7, 17). We are still waiting patiently for an official announcement on the availability of the Surface 2 with LTE model though.
