3D Systems today announced the availability schedule of its recently unveiled Cube 3 and CubePro 3D printers. Commercial shipments are due to begin in the second half of June 2014. Interested customers can now place pre-orders for the printers through affiliated retailers, resellers and distributors.

The Cube 3 and CubePro 3D printers will also be up for pre-order through the www.cubify.com website. These printers were first shown off at the Consumer Electronics Show 2014 in Las Vegas this January. With support for multi-color and multi-materials they take consumer 3D printing to a whole new level.

Highest resolution at 70 micron layers is offered alongside faster print speeds and the ability to print on the go directly through a smartphone through the official Cubify application. The app will be released when printers ship later next month.

Both printers have an easy to use color touchscreen display as well as Wi-Fi capability for truly mobile printing. They come with non-clog technology and moisture-lock cartridges to ensure extended shelf life and total material usage. Material loading is now as easy as changing an ink cartridge on a conventional printer. The Cube series has been designed to fulfill a complete range of 3D printing needs with models to cater to the hobbyist as well as the professional.

The entry level Cube 3 printer starts at $999 whereas the “professionally capable” CubePro starts at $2,799.
