Gresso-Radical-Black-CollectionWhen the term “luxury smartphone” is put out there, we’re not talking about a phone with high-end specs or hardware, but rather a phone that’s made from premium materials that usually comes attached with a expensive price tag. Such devices are usually quite disappointing in terms of their hardware, but then again we’re guessing these consumers are more interested in its look and design, rather than its performance.

That being said, Gresso, a company known for their luxury phones, has announced a new luxury smartphone lineup called the Radical Black. The lineup will consist of colors ranging from white gold, yellow gold, or titanium, with the phones starting at a price of $2,500. Yikes! We should note that all the phones sport the same hardware, meaning that the only difference in price is the materials that are used.

The specs of the phones includes a 4.5-inch qHD (960×540) display and will be powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. It will also come with 36GB of onboard storage, an 8MP rear-facing camera, and will run on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. Like we said earlier, not the most impressive in terms of hardware, but if you’re all about the looks, then perhaps this can be overlooked.

So what’s the difference in material? Well with the Radical Black R1, the buttons on the phone will be made from titanium and will be priced at $2,500. The Radical Black R2 will feature black titanium buttons and an 18K yellow gold Gresso logo and is priced at $3,000. The Radical Black R3 will also sport black titanium buttons and an 18K white gold Gresso logo, which will also be priced at $3,000. All the phones are limited to 100 pieces each, so if you want to get your hands on one, head on over to Gresso’s website for the details.
