Moto-G-Ferrari-EdJust yesterday, Motorola announced new smartphones which came in the form of the Moto E and the Moto G LTE. However for those observant enough, you might be wondering, wasn’t there supposed to be another device? Well you’re right because according to the rumors, a Moto G Ferrari was supposed to be announced as well.

Turns out that the handset has been announced, except that it has been announced for Mexico, which might explain why it was not officially announced alongside the Moto E and the Moto G LTE. Given that it was not announced in the US, it seems that those of us living stateside might not be able to get our hands on the device, unless through a grey import, of course.

So what so special about this particular device? Well for those who are fans of the Ferrari brand, the Moto G Ferrari will basically sport a Ferrari logo on the back of the phone, a kevlar cover, and some Ferrari-related accessories. However apart from that, the phone will remain the same Moto G that we’ve all come to know and love.

This means that we can look forward to a 720p HD display, a quad-core processor, 16GB of onboard storage, 1GB of RAM, a 5MP rear-facing camera, with Android running the show. For those wondering if the Ferrari edition will cost more, it has been priced at $4,999 MXN which is about $387 converted. It will also be seeing a release in June.
