portal-nvidia-shieldThere are some games that are worth playing a few years down the road, even after you have successfully mastered it for the longest time already. I suppose that would place such titles under the category of “Classics”, if you will, as these tend to have a timeless feel to them. Well, Valve’s famous title, Portal, is touted to appear on the NVIDIA Shield portable console some time next week, making its appearance on an Android-powered platform.

Just how much money do you need to part with in order to enjoy some Portal goodness while you are on the move? Valve is asking for $9.99 a pop, where the portable version of Portal is set to appear on Google Play this coming May 12. It will be just a few more days away, so hold on to your seats and keep yourself occupied with something else, and you will find that four days will pass in the blink of an eye.

Before you know it, you would be $10 poorer and glued to your NVIDIA Shield as you relive those moments in Portal. While Portal for Android supports multiple Android devices, it has been specially optimized for NVIDIA’s hardware and control configuration. Not only that, gamers will also be privy to an option to stream gameplay from the console to a connected Windows PC.
