Seagate-Wireless-Plus-1000px_highresIf there is one thing about the iPhone that we’re sure many would like to see is support for memory cards, like microSD, for example. Smartphones of other platforms usually offer microSD card support which allows for additional memory at a relatively low price, unlike iPhones where each tier becomes more expensive.

That being said if you wished your iPhone had more storage, whether it be to store movies, photos, music, documents, and etc., you might be interested to learn that Seagate has recently announced they have expanded their Wireless Plus external hard drives lineup to include a more affordable solution, and a larger storage solution, depending on your needs.

Previous Seagate had the 1TB option, but now they are offering up a cheaper 500GB model and a 2TB model for those who feel like 1TB is not enough. They are priced at $149.99 and $199.99 respectively, making the 2TB model more attractive compared to its 1TB sibling which is priced at $178.99.

For those unfamiliar with Seagate’s Wireless Plus offerings, they’re basically external hard drives that can be accessed via smartphones or tablets wirelessly. By being wireless, there are no cables so smartphones who don’t have USB ports will be able to access them, or computers whose USB ports are already used up can access them as well.

The hard drives come with a built-in battery that is good for 10 hours of playback and supports HD video streaming to three devices simultaneously, and also comes with mobile apps for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone. The Wireless Plus drives can also act as a portable WiFi hub that allows WiFi to be shared between up to 7 devices.
