destinyDestiny will be Activision and Bungie’s latest and most expensive game this year. The game is pegged for a release this September and will be arriving on a variety of platforms, such as the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and the Xbox One. However the good news for PlayStation gamers is that it looks like you guys will be getting access to exclusive content.

What does this mean for Xbox gamers? Does this mean that Xbox gamers will be pretty much left out for good? While Bungie did not mention if this will be a permanent or timed exclusive, a listing on Amazon for the game has suggested that it could be a timed exclusive. According to the listing, “Exclusive content for PlayStation 4 owners includes the Exodus Blue Competitive Multiplayer Map, Dust Palace Strike, Weapons, Ships and Gear that will only be on PlayStation until at least Fall 2015.”

Now we’re not sure how Amazon figured that the exclusive would last until the Fall of 2015. There is a chance that Amazon could simply be speculating about the exclusivity, but given that they were pretty specific, perhaps they might have been told by Activision/Bungie about the timed exclusive that they forgot to inform gamers about.

However since Bungie has yet to actually confirm it themselves, we suggest you not get your hopes up just yet. If you were thinking about playing the game on your Xbox One, you should go ahead and do so, with or without the exclusive content, but if you absolutely have to have it, then the PlayStation platform appears to be your best bet for now.
