watch dogs

Ubisoft has undoubtedly hit a home run with Watch Dogs. It became the publisher’s fastest selling title on the first day and sold a record four million copies in the first week alone. However the launch hasn’t all been smooth sailing. Many players complained about issues with uPlay login and now there’s a big thread on Ubisoft’s official forums about a Watch Dogs loading bug that’s affecting players on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and the Xbox One.

It looks like only a subset of players are affected by the Watch Dogs loading bug. What happens is that when a player redeems uPlay content on any of the aforementioned platforms they get stuck on the loading screen. The game load up which means they can’t play. However some players have downloaded content and haven’t faced this issue.

Few extra items are offered to players who use the uPlay app or interact with the service through its website. The items include things like a cash bonus reward, an avatar, a gold-colored D50 gun and the Papvero Stealth Edition car that lets players avoid detection.

Ubisoft has already confirmed that it is aware of the issue and says that it is hard at work on isolating the problem. Once that’s done they’ll be able to roll out a fix. To help move things along Ubisoft encourages players facing this issue to submit a ticket to support.ubi.com.
