As we’ve said many times in the past, the BlackBerry Passport is an interesting handset. It features a unique design that makes it look pretty wide and a bit unwieldy as far one-handed use is concerned. While BlackBerry has yet to officially release the handset, a YouTuber by the name of Canoopsy (via CrackBerry) has taken it upon himself to create a mockup of the handset.

The mockup is used to compared the BlackBerry Passport to a variety of smartphones available in the market today, as well as to see how the phone might fit into one’s hand. The mockup he printed out is made from paper so safe to say that he won’t be able to compare it in terms of weight and thickness, but in terms of overall size, it could be a pretty close match.

From what we can see, the phone is very wide and using it with one hand, at least to type, would be almost impossible. However as the BlackBerry Passport does feature a gesture-based keyboard, that issue could be mitigated. Typing however, looks pretty good, thanks to wide keyboard which gives the user more room to move around.

As far as size is concerned, the BlackBerry Passport is huge compared to other phones, even when compared to larger handsets such as the LG G3, and safe to say that it completely dwarfed the iPhone’s 4-inch display. In any case if you have a few minutes to spare, you can check out the comparison videos above and below for the details.
