A couple of weeks ago, we reported that gamers who had pre-order Bungie’s upcoming shooter, Destiny, would be able to access the beta which was expected to kick off late July. No specific dates were mentioned at that time, but now according to Bungie, they have revealed that Xbox 360 and Xbox One gamers who have pre-ordered the game can look forward to its beta on the 23rd of July.

This is about a week after PlayStation gamers get access to the beta themselves, where it has been revealed the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 gamers will be given a timed exclusive to the beta for a week before Xbox gamers. Both betas are expected to run until the 28th of July, so Xbox gamers will have one less week of gaming than PlayStation gamers.

However like we said, the beta will only be open to gamers who have pre-ordered the game, so if you haven’t done so yet, you might have to head on over to Destiny’s website to find out how you can place a pre-order of your own. In the meantime if you’re curious as to what you might be able to expect, Bungie has since released the official beta trailer for the game, so take a couple of minutes out of your day and check out the video above for the details.
