studio cBLU Products is not necessarily a company that comes to mind when you think about Android smartphones, although the company has churned out several affordable handsets in the past. Well it looks like they’re back and this time they have recently announced their new STUDIO C series of Android smartphones.

As part of the STUDIO C series, BLU Products have unveiled four new handsets – the Studio 5.0 C HD, the Studio C mini, the Studio 5.0 C and the 5.0 CE. Starting with the Studio 5.0 C HD and the Studio C mini, both handsets will be powered by a MediaTek quad-core chipset and will be clocked at 1.3GHz. The former will be accompanied by 1GB of RAM and the latter with 512MB of RAM.

The Studio 5.0 C HD will also feature a larger display at 5-inches with a resolution of 1080×720, while the Studio C mini will pack a 4.7-inch display with a resolution of 480×800. The former’s camera will be of the 8MP variety while the latter will sport a 5MP camera. Both handsets’ front cameras will be at 2MP.

As for the Studio 5.0 C and Studio 5.0 CE, both models are virtually identical, save for their chipset. The former will use a MediaTek MT6752 and will support 4G HSPA+ connectivity, while the latter will feature a MT6751 without the 4G HSPA+ connectivity. Other than that, both phones will sport 5-inch 480×854 displays, 512MB of RAM, 5MP rear-facing cameras, VGA front cameras, 4GB of onboard storage, and 1,800mAh batteries.

As far as pricing is concerned, the Studio 5.0 C HD will be priced at $149, the Studio C mini at $119, the Studio 5.0 C at $109, and the Studio 5.0 CE at $89.
