Grand Theft Auto 4, or GTA 4 in short, has seen its fair share of mods in the past such as an Iron Man mod that rides on the superhero wave as well as a Frozen mod, but we do know that GTA 4 is unable to snap selfies – which is something that GTA 5 is full well capable of. It is a good thing then, that Grand Theft Auto 4 on PC has now received another update that will help it close the gap on GTA 5, thanks to the folks over at GTA X Scripting. Basically, this new mod would offer a brand new camera angle which will be fixed right in front of the character’s face, even when he is driving a vehicle around town. All that you need to do from there is to capture a screenshot, and there you go – an in-game selfie that you can be proud of.

It seems that modders have not too much time left on their hands in order to roll out upcoming and other unique mods for GTA 4, since autumn is when a remastered version of Grand Theft Auto 5 for PC will be introduced, and people might want to take the route of modding GTA 5 for PC by the time that arrives.

What do you think of mods for games like GTA? I certainly am all for it, since it does lend an air of longevity across time, not to mention showcases the pent up creativity of talented gamers who have a head for programming as well.
