phone pantsPhones these days have come a long way in terms of their size. Back in the day, many were impressed with the iPhone’s 3.5-inch display, although several years later, the same people who praised it were quick to show their disdain for the smaller screen. In the meantime other OEMs have churned out phones that have displays greater than 5-inches.

Well it seems that the fashion industry has sat up and taken notice of these changes. According to a report from Quartz, clothing company Uniqlo states that they are working on redesigning their clothes to help make them accommodate today’s technology better. “We are having conversations currently with the product development team regarding technology overall, and how our clothes can provide compatibility from a user perspective. Jean pockets is one of those conversations.”

Uniqlo is not alone in their efforts as a report from Business Insider has also revealed that other clothing companies such as American Eagle, J. Crew, L.L. Bean, Lee Jeans, and Levi’s are working to make the pockets of their pants slightly bigger to help accommodate today’s larger screened devices.

Hopefully this will address the Bendgate scandal in which it was suggested that the new iPhones are bending in the pockets of its users, so hopefully with deeper and wider and looser pockets, we won’t be hearing anymore such complaints, but what do you guys think? Do you welcome these changes?
