T-Mobile today confirmed that it will soon be offering the Lumia 530 to its customers. Starting October 15th new and existing subscribers will be able to purchase the Lumia 530 from T-Mobile. This smartphone is the successor of the popular Lumia 521 which performed particularly well on Magenta, in fact that carrier calls it “one of the best-selling Windows Phone EVER at T-Mobile.”

Since its meant for budget minded customers don’t expect high-end specifications but they’re enough to get you through the day. There’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 1.2GHz processor with 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal memory. External expansion via microSD is supported up to 128GB. The Lumia 530 has a 4-inch 480×854 pixel resolution TFT display.

Weighing just 4.55 ounces the smartphone is available in white, dark gray, orange and green colors. There’s no LTE but HSPA is onboard with Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. Lumia 530 is powered by Windows Phone 8.1 which means that it also comes with Microsoft’s virtual assistant we all know as Cortana. Moreover it will have popular apps such as Microsoft Office, Skype and OneDrive pre-installed.

Those who are not willing to purchase one from T-Mobile can pick one up on October 5th through Best Buy as well as Microsoft Stores. Customers sticking with T-Mobile will be able to purchase it for $79.20 starting October 15th.
