If you happen to follow technology news you may have heard by now that tomorrow Apple is going to conduct an event in which it is expected to unveil some new products. Many of us expect to see new iPads and a new iMac, perhaps even a 12-inch Retina MacBook Air. The timing seems right for new iPads above all and apparently there has been a slip-up through which the new tablets have been “confirmed” a day before they are officially announced.

9to5mac spotted the iOS 8.1 user guide for iPad in the iTunes Store. iOS 8.1 itself is expected to ship after tomorrow’s announcement so its possible that someone jumped the gun and made the user guide live in iBooks.

Screenshots of the user guide show that both new iPads will have designs similar to their predecessors, so its likely that there won’t be anything interesting on that front. We get to see the official monikers as well, iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3, its highly likely that this is what Apple is going to call its new tablets.

The user guide also reiterates some of the rumors we have heard up till now. For example both tablets have the Touch ID fingerprint sensor and a feature called Burst Mode which was introduced with iPhone 5s. Burst Mode will only be available on iPad Air 2 and will allow users to take rapid-fire photos when they hold the Take Picture button in the camera app.
