It has been over eight months since Apple released the iPad Air 2. Despite declining global tablet shipments the company’s flagship tablet has continued to outpace its rivals in the market. The iPad Air 2 is an evolutionary update over its predecessor with a thinner profile and improved specification. Apple is now finally selling refurbished iPad Air 2 units through its website.

Apple does sell refurbished units of its products, folks who don’t want to pay full price for the product can get them for quite less than what they have to pay at retail.

Refurbished units get fixed up by the company even there is something that needs attention and should last customers a long time, and they won’t notice any difference between the performance of a refurbished unit and one bought at full price.

Apple tests each refurbished unit before selling it and swaps the battery and outer shell, it even includes a one-year warranty with these variants, customers do get good bang for their buck.

The 16GB Wi-Fi only refurbished variant of the iPad Air 2 can be purchased for about $80 less than the retail price, the saving goes up to $110 for the LTE model. Customers can purchase the top 128GB LTE model for $689 whereas at retail the same tablet costs $829.
