If you happen to follow gaming related news you might have heard about the launch of Destiny last month. Bungie’s new title has set some records since it was released and Activision’s $500 million investment in the title hasn’t gone in waste. A month has passed since the release and its a good time to look at just how many people are still playing the game. According to Bungie, Destiny is averaging over 3.2 million players every single day.

That’s not all. Bungie has also revealed that not only more than three million people play the game every day, average playtime is still hovering around three hours per day, even on weekdays.

Another interesting tidbit from the developer was that over the past three weeks more people have played Destiny online that Bungie saw during the same time period for Halo 3 and Halo: Reach combined. The current data shows that an average player plays Destiny 1.8 times a day and the average player has played the title 20.9 times overall.

It is safe to say that even though the initial hype surrounding this title may have died down it is still seeing a considerable number of engagement from players most of whom have already finished the title. Surely Bungie will take pride in the fact that its merely not sitting on players’ hard drives or their disc shelves, they’re actually getting some entertainment out of it even now.
