new-calendarIt looks like there is a spanking new Google Calendar app that has just been released, where it was specially designed in order to function as a helpful assistant, allowing one to spend more time to enjoy the day that will unfold, compared to using those precious moments managing it. After all, keeping on top of your schedule is not an easy thing to do at all, as you would need to perform manual updates should there be any changes that come your way, all the while looking for addresses and phone numbers to add to the respective events. Google Calendar intends to help by transforming emails into Calendar events – automatically.

Yup, you read that right – it seems as though Google Calendar has now gone clairvoyant, which means each time you purchase concert tickets, or perhaps make a hotel reservation, you would see the confirmation emails in your inbox being turned into a Calendar appointment. Heck, even if your flight is delayed (fingers crossed) and you receive another email update notifying you of that, your calendar too, will reflect the new flight time.

The brand new Google Calendar is said to play nice on devices that run on Android 4.1 or later, and is already available on other devices which run on Android 5.0 Lollipop. The downloadable update from Google Play will be made available in the weeks to come, and there is also promise of an iPhone version, too. [Press Release]
