Mozilla’s Firefox browser is a well-known browser amongst users. However it seems that the company is looking to develop a browser specifically for developers in mind. According to the company, they have recently announced that come 10th of November, they will be releasing a browser that has been “built by developers for developers.”
The upcoming browser will be based on the Firefox browser, so developers will at least be familiar with parts of it. It will also come with developer tools such as debugging capabilities and other tools like Firefox Tools Adapter and WebIDE that will allow developers to code directly in the browser itself.
According to Mozilla’s description, “We’ve redesigned the browser by looking at it through a completely new filter to put developers’ interests first. It’s built by developers for developers so you can debug the whole Web, allowing you to more easily build awesome Web experiences.”
It is unclear as to how much different it will be from the consumer version of Firefox and whether or not the average Joe will be able to use the developer browser for regular surfing, if they do choose to go ahead with that. In any case like we said, the browser will be released on the 10th of November so for those who are interested, you can leave your email address and Mozilla will notify you guys upon its release.
