Last month BlackBerry formally announced a smartphone that squarely aims to win back the company’s loyalists. The BlackBerry Classic features the company’s iconic full QWERTY keyboard apart from the function key belt and trackpad which used to be a staple on all BB devices a few years ago. The Classic incorporates all of this while being powered by BlackBerry OS 10.3. Having already sold out on the company’s online store the device is now available for pre-order from Amazon.

BlackBerry Classic was put up for pre-order on BlackBerry’s online store a few days back and it quickly sold out. The same response was seen with the BlackBerry Passport, BB’s only high-end device in 2014, which too sold out quickly after it went on sale.

Obviously it matters just how many units were actually made available, BlackBerry has admittedly been cautious with production this time around, but analysts are of the view that its latest devices are appealing well to the company’s core users which is why the Passport sold well and the Classic is expected to do the same.

If you want to purchase one and weren’t able to get one through the company’s online store, worry not, the Classic is now available for pre-order through Amazon. A new promo has also been released for the smartphone today, do take a gander.
